진중권 전 동양대 교수가 최근 캠브릿지대학에서 온라인 강의를 한 것으로 알려졌다.
캠브릿지대학에 따르면, 진 전 교수는 2022년 6월 15일 이 대학의 아시아·중동연구학부 학생들을 대상으로 '위기에 빠진 한국민주주의?'라는 주제로 '줌(Zoom)'을 이용해 온라인 강의를 한 것으로 전해졌다. 구체적인 강의 내용은 따로 알려지지 않았다.

Chin Jungkwon studied Aesthetics at Seoul National University, and received a master’s degree in Aesthetics from SNU. He continued studies in Germany, focusing on Wittgenstein’s philosophy of language at the Free University of Berlin. As a professor of the Faculty of Liberal Arts at Dongyang University and the director of the Institute of Technoaesthetics, he had been leading multidisciplinary studies connecting arts, game and design, before he resigned from professorship in 2020 for practicing political criticism.
He is now active in broadcastings as a political commentator and writing articles on political issues for newspapers. Publications include ‘Odyssey of Aesthetics’, ‘Lectures on Contemporary Aesthetics’, ‘History of Western Arts’, ‘History of Five Senses’, ‘Theories of Media’, ‘Decline of the Progressive’ and more.
